Brand Dog Illustrations

BRIEF:

I was given the new logo and asked to create a brand around it. The owner of Groomi Charlotte had an idea to create a style of dogs in illustrations and wanted it fun and playful.

SOLUTION:

First of all the illustrations needed to compliment the new logo, and she wanted them to be easily recognisable as different breeds. Charlotte wanted her existing brand to have a whole new look and feel and overhaul her existing designs totally; she wanted it playful and engaging. First of all was coming up with different style of illustrations and finding a direction then adapting them into different popular breeds making them feel uniform but also be easily recognisable. Then we wanted to develop some playfulness so played with lots of different additions and decided on sunglasses of all shapes and sizes to give them some attitude and playfulness. I decided to keep them looking the same on packaging we could only use a grey tone throughout then unified them on packaging and easily recognisable as part of the Groomi range. The idea each dog will have a name and a story we can really play with their back stories on back of products and socials. Some of Groomi product are for cats and horses so then adapting that style to them also.
