Such a fun night last night at the Art Battle Manchester, fun buzzing atmosphere of creative people from all areas of Manchester. The venue being a shopping centre was super fun, walking into the old boots to get a drink.
If you haven’t been to one of their events before, make sure you make the next one. The process is heats of artist create a painting in 30 mins, and voted by the crowd with tokens. Honestly so nice seeing creativity being celebrated by every type of person. Creativity is something in a world of doom and gloom at the moment needs celebrating. Had some wonderful chats with so many people, was a real sense of community. An evening that reminds you the world is full of wonderful people, even when the media will tell you otherwise.
All the work produced tonight was so amazing! 30 minutes is no time at all and all of the artists smashed their work, it was so hard to even pick the best.

One of the artist Soteris Yerosimou, seen above made a 3d piece of a lake with such water movement for something flat, with tiny origami boats which is with joy on his face threw them into the crowd. Thanks very much for the little boat, the perfect little blue colour too. I will treasure it.

One I loved the most was done by a young woman called Melissa Pywell it was an instant winner for me. Little did I know later that evening I would get chatting to her mum and family and find out she's only just finished college! Honestly with the wonderful encouragement of her family and her absolute talent, she will go far! The expression and depth to that painting in no time at all, just WOW!
The winner tonight was Sarah Betts. Again look at that emotion captured, the depth of it, the feeling. Well done! Her work was exhibited in one of the shop units too and her portrait work captures the person into paint!

Had a wonderful portrait done by a lovely lady called Nasha Cash, check out her work on her Instagram. Thanks for making me look so wonderful.

Spoke to a lovely lady from her company called Artistic Adventures, and booked on two of her courses for July and August. Can’t wait! You can check out her website here. Was wonderful to paint and colour her little illustrations too, such a nice little touch! Ghost on the beach and a pigeon with cowboy boots… need I say how amazing they are!

There was also a little exhibition in one of the shop units from Trafford college. Absolutely amazing work. Here are a few of my favs. I love the poster of how we fight fascists with fire and finger. The illustrations on the first image is tarot cards designed for children and a younger audience. The other stand out piece was the wire person sitting on the bench. It explained it was to ‘reflect the growing disconnect between humanity and nature’ absolutely inspiring and think I have a very similar view. It’s so lovely those designers and artists got such a fab audience to see their work and wish them even more success in their futures.
Absolutely top night and look forward to the next one. Let celebrate all people and things creative, and let talented artist live their dream to create.
