Logo refreshes and updates are completely normal practice, many big brands do it ever few years to work alongside new design trends and styles that develop.
Collette the owner of Pure Solace Holistic Therapies is no different, she loved the idea of her logo but wanted it to come across more professionally and more aligned with the expert knowledge she has from many years of working with clients. Without a lockdown Pure Solace does a range of massages, facials and treatments, but with lockdown 3.0 in full force has been looking at ways to give her clients the treatments they love but in comfort of their own homes as a pick me up and to help mental health.

The project all started from her coming to me looking for sticker for her new rollerball essential oil bottles. We were discussing how she wanted them to be and she spoke about creating an identity as she wanted to in the future release more products and wanted the packaging all to match and people know they are from the same person.
Collette loved the idea of her old logo but felt it was missing something. I explained I think she needed a softer brand font, something that could run through everything she had planned for her business so that it would all fit beautifully together. The lotus flower design is something around the world which symbolises purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth and is perfect for the treatments Pure Solace does pre-covid and the products they are planning for home treatments.
So from our chat I then worked to develop the logo into a softer more modern design. I designed the hands to be simple lines instead of more of a symbol. I thought it was important for the brand to reflect the personal hands on natural of the therapies then it being reflected in the handwritten font.
As soon as Collette was happy we started looking at possible design ideas for the first set of labels. I always give my clients a range of ideas to see, as it helps the process to make sure they are making the right decisions. These below are just a few of them.

We both agreed continuing the brands lotus flower but in different colours for the different essential oil blends was the best way to go. To accompany each essential oil mix there was also a small card which explained what scents where in the blend and information on how to use it. I created these to work alongside the stickers.

Here is the colour palette I put together for the different ones in the range. Each reflecting the characteristic of the different solutions the essential oils offer.

If you have a totally new brand that needs creating or an existing one that needs updating or developing more I would love to hear from you. Together we can develop your business identity and get seen by the right customers in the right way.
